A company to consider if you’re looking for beer to sample: a brewery that ships nation wide. Please check how they ship and how if mght affect you: some states vary in their rules and maybe your state might have a problem, the Feds can be picky and if they ship by telling the company something else is in the carton that could be problematic for ALL!

American Brewing Company is now selling its beer online and shipping it across the country. There’s more to it than that, but the short version is that you can now send a case of Breakaway IPA to Uncle Bubba in Bakersfield or to Aunt Wilma in Walla Walla. You can also send a case of Caboose Oatmeal Stout, American Blond, or a mixed case of all three. Beerjobber.com is the website making this possible.
Beerjobber.com is a site dedicated to selling and shipping beer. At this time, American Brewing and Diamond Knot Brewing are the only Washington breweries selling beer on Beerjobber.com. We provide an invitation code below which allows you quickly set up a profile at Beerjobber.com and check things out for yourself.
Along with American Brewing and Diamond Knot Brewing, breweries from across the country use Beerjobber.com to share their beer with a national audience. It’s a pretty cool marketplace for non-Washington beers — interesting beers that you will not find on the shelf at the local bottleshop. I encourage you to go to Beerjobber.com, set up an account using the info below, and take a look around. This is a cool service and we’d love to see it continue to grow. They have not paid us any kind of consideration. We just think its cool.
Shipping beer to consumers, whether it be intrastate or interstate, is messy business. To begin with, there are only 35 states that allow this kind of shipping at all: Beerjobber.com can only ship to those 35 states. What’s more, some beers cannot ship to specific zip codes. And that is just the beginning of messy regulations through which Beerjobber.com is wading. Oy vey!
In most cases, Beerjobber.com cannot ship intrastate. That means if you live in Pennsylvania you cannot order Pennsylvania beer and have it delivered to your home. You can order it and have it shipped to another state, but not to the state from which the beer originates. GOOD NEWS! Washington is an exception. Beerjobber.com is set up as a retailer in Washington. This means you can order beers from American Brewing and Diamond Knot Brewing and have them delivered to Washington addresses.
Please don’t turn this into an argument about the three-tier system, the cost of shipping beer, or any of that jazz. It’s the holidays. Let’s keep things pleasant. Let’s all just agree that it is nice that we can send local beer to our friends in 35 states. Also, let’s all be happy about the fact that we can order beer from mysterious, faraway breweries like Lazy Magnolia Brewing (Louisiana), Blue Point Brewing (New York) and Voodoo Brewing (Pennsylvania). I’ve heard really good things about Lazy Magnolia. Might be my first Beerjobber.com order.
