Amateur beer films will screen at Soulard Market this month

New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, Colo., — makers of Fat Tire Amber Ale, Ranger IPA and other craft brews — is bringing its Clips of Faith Beer & Film Tour to St. Louis’ Soulard Market Park on June 25.

The event part of a 14-city tour to showcase amateur short films — between 10 seconds and 10 minutes in length – that New Belgium fans have created. The brewery asked would-be filmmakers to try to include three elements: craft beer, sustainability and whimsy.

The name Clips of Faith is a play on Lips of Faith, New Belgium’s line of limited-release beers including some higher-alcohol ones that are wood-aged or made with unusual ingredients like dandelion greens.

The brewery will be pouring some of those brews on the 25th. Food will be available for purchase from St. Louis vendors, and proceeds will benefit Trailnet. You can also bring your own food as well as lawn chairs or blankets. The movie screenings run from 7 to 10 p.m. at the park, Lafayette Avenue and South Ninth Street.
